The studio
Led by instinct.
Grounded in the seasons.
Sweetpea began in 2016 with a cutting garden outside Bath and a bucket stall on Walcot Street. Nell still picks most mornings, then heads to the market for whatever the garden can’t grow.
We arrange loosely and by hand, with no foam and as little plastic as we can manage, so the flowers look as if they were gathered on the way. Usually, they were.

Season
What’s in season in October
Late dahlias, cosmos, rosehips and the first chrysanthemums. October is the richest month in the garden.

Care
Dahlias: a short care guide
Our favourite flower of the year is also one of the thirstiest. A few small habits will give you a full week of colour.

Studio
A morning at the flower market
Four o’clock alarms, cold hands and the best part of the job. Here’s what a buying morning looks like.
A few things you might ask.
